5 Home Remedies For Oily Skin

  • Egg whites and lemons

Both ingredients are a popular cure for oily skin and are believed to tighten up large pores. The acid in other citrus fruits may help reduce oil. According to a study, lemons also contain antiseptic abilities. But, this DIY home remedy is not worthy for those with egg allergies. To make this face mask:

  1. Mix 1 egg white with 1 tsp. lemon juice.
  2. Apply this egg whites and lemon mixture on your face, and leave it on till the mask completely dry out.
  3. Wash your face with water and dry it by patting it.
  • Almonds

Crushed almonds not only exfoliate your skin, but they also help absorb excess oils and scums. To apply an almond face scrub:  1. Finely chore raw almonds to make 3 tsp.

  1. Add 2 tbsp. of raw honey.
  2. Apply this scrub to your face softly, and exfoliate in circular motions.
  3. Wash your face with water and dry it by patting it.

Otherwise, there is another way of making an almond face mask by grating the almonds into a paste before adding the honey. Leave this mask on for 15 minutes. Wash with warm water, and pat dry. Do not use an almond face mask that has a nut allergy.

  • Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is well known for calming burns and other skin disorders. There‘s good scientific proof that it helps treat peeling skin caused by oily spots. Many people apply aloe Vera gel to treat oily skin.

Apply a thin layer of aloe Vera gel all over your face before bedtime and wash it in the morning. Aloe Vera is identified to cause an allergic response on sensitive skin. You should test a small quantity of aloe Vera gel on your forearm. If no reaction seems within 24 to 48 hours, aloe Vera gel should be safe for you.

  • Tomatoes

Tomatoes contain salicylic acid, popular acne, and an oily skin home remedy. The acids contained in tomatoes may help sop up excess skin oils and unblock pores. To make an exfoliating tomato mask:

  1. Blend 1 teaspoon of sugar with a pulp of 1 tomato.
  2. Apply to your skin in a round motion.
  3. Leave tomato and sugar mask on for 10 minutes.
  4. Wash your face with water and dry it by patting it.

You can also use only tomato paste or tomato pieces on your skin.
